TopMark Funding is a commercial equipment lease brokerage operating nationwide. The company is industry focused with originations concentrated in the Semi-truck and Trailer, Vocational Vehicle, and Construction space. TopMark’s business model is to sell the transactions it originates to third party funding sources and banks. The company was founded in 2015 and has completed its start up phase. It is profitable and currently scaling the business through revenue growth by working to grow its sales force. Annual originations volume is pacing at $60 Million and has been steadily increasing. Annual revenues for the company increased by 4x in 2018 over the prior year and are expected to double in 2019. TopMark currently employs approximately 60 equipment leasing professionals and is actively investing in growth. The company is in the market for private debt investment to support additional scale.

Go Capital was founded in 2013 and is a specialty finance company focused on serving the transportation space. The company identified and carved out a niche in the Semi-truck and Trailer space by funding subprime owner operators looking to remain independent. Approximately $113 Million in equipment was funded under the first portfolio, and at its height, the company employed 120 equipment leasing professionals. The company shifted gears in 2018 to restructure its debt and capital base and ceased originations. The portfolio is active and being serviced by Nations First Capital as Go Capital gears up to launch its second portfolio, GC2.

GC2 is the second portfolio of commercial equipment lease assets being originated under the Go Capital brand. It kicked off in 2019 and is actively originating transactions through TopMark Funding. The underwriting on this new portfolio leverages off the performance of the initial portfolio and is far more targeted around attributes related to top preforming assets. Servicing for the portfolio is provided by Nations First Capital. A key adjustment in the business model has been to source the secured capital backing the portfolio assets from private investment through a fund structure managed by Rapid Investments instead of through an institutional lender.
