Investment Philosophy

Rapid Investments believes that long term enduring success in business requires honesty, integrity, commitment to a well laid plan, and a work ethic that results in those who lead our portfolio companies working both harder and smarter than the competition.  When we screen investment opportunities we are not looking for the latest and greatest. We are looking for businesses and entrepreneurs who are executing to proven business models and who are passionate about serving their market and customers at a level that will ultimately surpass the value provided by their competition.  We look for opportunities and business models where significant amounts of capital can be placed to work at relatively low risk for the comparative return available.  We like niche businesses operating in large markets who have identified needs of the marketplace or approaches to service the customer which offer them growth rates well beyond that of the industry in which they operate.

We look for strategic opportunities in under-served markets where strong returns are available. Click the button below to learn more.

The ENTREPRENEUR matters

We believe that the experience of the Entrepreneur matters.  We focus on investments that support companies where the lead entrepreneur has successfully served at the executive level of a competitor. We do not make investments in start-ups where the lead entrepreneur does not have significant experience with the product, the market, and the ability to drive revenue.

Sales MATTERS

Strong sales solve a lot of problems.  When we evaluate opportunities we look at the sales strength of the organization and where sales lands on the list of priorities of management.  We do not get involved with opportunities that do not have strong sales leaders, sales skill sets, and sales processes. Driving sales must be a passion of leadership and one of their top priorities.

Accounting MATTERS

We believe that the quality of financial reporting of a business is indicative of its long term value.  Company’s with strong financial controls, well thought out budgets, and detailed and timely reporting are better long term investments than those which operate loosely.  We believe that companies that understand and prioritize this discipline are much better positioned to take advantage of opportunities than their peers.  They meet with success more often and they ultimately command higher valuations upon exit. We do not get involved with companies where the financial reporting would not be considered strong.
